Oh, references to The Sonic Foundation. That was like my first ever Sonic site, I got stuff published on Speakers Corner.

Ah!!! And you reference The Impossible Quiz! Awww, I remember that game. Ages since I played it (Remember, the square root of onion is shallot)

As for the rest, it was a really good video. Emotional too in a way.

I still havn't played Sonic '06. I've got a PS3, I've got a second hand copy of the game, but all I've played so far were kiosk demos in game shops when the game first came out. I still want to play it, but at the same time I don't. Truth is, I've tended to find myself hypersensative to any Sonic game I don't think will be good. Whether Sonic Heroes or Unleased (Colours being an exception). I think I've always been terrified of a Sonic game failing to fulful its promise to be a fun adventure and being disappointed, that I only go for the games I think will be good.

In any event, good video!

It's funny how Pokemon is releasing a live action movie the same year as Sonic, yet it seems abundantly clear from the trailer that the Pokemon movie is being made by people who love and respect the series and are trying to make a fun movie that's still true to that universe, whereas the Sonic movie........... ugh.

Get it before SAGE ends!

Also, we talked about the game's development process on a stream you can currently watch here: (skip to 57 mins in)

Essentially, it's a jetpack spaceman game about shooting and exploring!

No, you did not physically attack the board and I apologise if my post implied it, but is that all you picked up from my post?

And I don't mean to cause stress but was just wondering. Was it a real bad hack?

The first hacking attempt on the message board occurred in 2003, although the end result was only the loss of a handful of posts. The second attack, which happened on March 26, 2005, was fueled by a personal vendetta, which resulted in the entire board being wiped, and the server subsequently going offline.

You literally destroyed an entire iteration of the Moogle Cavern. We had to go to a completely different message board for a long while, Kulock had to create an entirely new forum which took weeks, and the server was wiped meaning nearly all posts of that message board with countless parts of our own community history were lost never to be seen again. If memory serves, we also lost the FlashChat which I really, really loved and had some great moments on.

You gouged a hole in the fabric of this community, and whenever people list the reasons this community collapsed, "hacking" is nearly always one of those reasons.

I know you probably don't like being cast in such a light, but you asked a question and I'm giving you an honest answer. At the very least I hope you learn from this and never do something that disruptive or, dare I say, cruel to anyone ever again. You have your excuses for why you did what you did, but the only way to truly show you've cared is with actions.

For those who may not remember Kairo, check out "Second Hacking" at the bottom of

Choice quotes:
Well guess what? Fuck every single one of you mother fucking moogle pieces of shit. Yeah, o.o ... seriously you moogles are pieces of shit O_o. Well, I shouldn't even have to state that. They know for themselves offline XD
Well... again.. then holy shit if you get offended by philosophy, you are some weak fucking pieces of shit. :3 Of course you're only alive because you speak your mind behind a computer :D
Oh... yes. Their members are brainwashed into believing that Sonic CulT is a place where assholes live/go. Ah well, if that's the truth to the "majority" of them.. which I can most certainly humbly except... seems like the asshole group overwhelms the dumbass group. Of course that's how it seems to the dumbass group, not us. ;D

There's actually more, but I think I've had my fill for now.... seriously, people talk about how toxic things are these days, posts like Kairo's remind me that its hardly a new thing.

I never quite got why the MC was such a target for Hackers, didn't make things easier for Kulock.

Since you're a little rusty, quick reminder of the fundamentals

Firm handshake
Be nice to receptionist/everyone you see before you get to the interviewers.
Research the company.
Know how you can help the company, and how they can help you. Don't be afraid to say such.
Don't be afraid to ask questions at the end. With interviews, while they're seeing if you're a good fit for the company, you're seeing if the company is a good fit for you.

an old worn out notepad with my hopes and dreams scrawled in them.

Oh hey, you have one of those too?

Anyway, best of luck with all your tasks, especially your interview tomorrow. We're rooting for you!

All social media does is put you into contact with people, whether you make friends or not is up to you, and usually reliant on a lot of other actions also.

Take care, I wish you all the best.

Actually, the question isn't that important but I was just curious.

This raises an imporant question: Will Sonic Mania have level transitions like S3&K?

I always liked how you jumped up and grabbed onto Flying Battery at the end of Angel Island Zone, and how after spindashing out of the Flying Battery at the end you land in Sandopolis Zone.

Only just read this through now. Sorry Myst, I really wish you the best and that's a tragic thing that happened. I'm very sorry it happened and hope you can find more positive experiences with others.

Take care.

21 (youtube tags on the fritz right now)

So I was rewatching the "Man of the Year" Sonic animation that was in Sonic Jam after looking through my backups and coming across an old avi file I'd downloaded. Looking at it now with my far more mature brain, the animation seems to be set in a stylised variant of San Francisco, just like City Escape in Sonic Adventure 2!

The opening panorama covers a building that looks like the Transamerica Pyramid, the coastline roughly approximates SF coastline (especially with the aforementioned skyscraper, and the piers jutting out seem similar. Robotnik's Island could correspond to Alcatraz (though moved a bit). Market Street seems to be represented, and Victorian style buildings built on a slope.

Something to do with Sega having HQ in San Francisco? Except the game was released 1997 (animation probably earlier) and Sega only moved their HQ into SF city proper in 1998: Also again raises questions of who actually animated this.

Anyway, thought some here would be interested.

And Suitcase is a lot nicer in person.
