General Discussion / Final Fantasy IV DS
« on: July 22, 2008, 11:34:56 AM »
Final Fantasy IV DS is finally out today, and I got it loaded up.So far it's a great remake with excellently remixed music, nice DS/PSX style graphics. minimal use of touchscreen. For someone that never got to beat the orignal, PSX, or GBA version, I'm kinda glad I waited. YOU SPOONY BARD!

What is everyone's thoughts on this game?

On June 22, 2008, Carlin died of heart failure at the age of 71. He had a history of cardiovascular issues, including several heart attacks. He wasn't as funny as some, but his stuff was truely clever.

Me? Depends on the day, sometimes it's Hol, sometimes it's no one.

everyone once in a while I find I have some odd programs running that doing a google search tells me are malware and the like, ad-aware, can't seem to find them though. I ran Hijackthis and saved a log.

A thread on The Allspark gave me the idea, everyone who posted in the topic had all sentences as a question so I figure, why not?

Think you guys can do it?

I need to write a "nasty" letter to EA over their not sending me a Rock Band Guitar after them having it for almost 2 months now. I would actually do this myself, but anyone that really knows me would know that I'm not really the kind of person to be nasty in any form. Any help would be appreciated :D

General Discussion / Audiosurf gets released
« on: February 12, 2008, 11:56:39 AM »
Audiosurf, the awesome game where you play to your music is coming to Steam this Friday. It'll be set at a price of below $10, so I'm assuming $9.99. But wait, there's more! If you purchase Audiosurf, you'll also get a copy of The Orange Box's official soundtrack, which is included in the game.

General Discussion / Books you enjoyed reading while growing up
« on: February 09, 2008, 11:24:19 AM »
inspired by the other reading topic.

So when you were growing up what books (non-comics/Graphic Novels) did you enjoy?

I enjoyed:

The Bunnicula Series:
Bunnicula, Howliday Inn, the Celery Stalks at Midnight, Bunnicula Strikes Again!, Return to Howliday Inn. (I forget the exact order the series fallowed though.

The story is centered on the Monroe family and their pets and is told from the perspective of their dog Harold. The Monroes find a bunny at the cinema where they were watching a Dracula film. Because of this, they dub him Bunnicula. Their cat Chester, however, is convinced Bunnicula is a vampire and attempts to get Harold to help save the Monroes from the perceived menace.

Animorphs chronicles the battles of five human teenagers and one alien youth as they fight a guerrilla war against a secret alien infiltration of Earth. The series is told in the first person, with a different narrator in every book. Applegate cycles through the books' six protagonists, telling the story of their secret war through each of the combatants' perspective. By using this method, she explores many of the dark aspects of the human condition. Horror, war, dehumanization, sanity, morality, innocence, leadership, and growing up are core motifs of the series.

Goosebumps is a series of children's horror fiction novellas created and authored by R. L. Stine. Sixty-two books were published under the Goosebumps umbrella title from 1992 to 1997, the last one being Monster Blood IV.
