I think this looks really, really amazing.  Really innovative.

General Rotors / It's always a great day when your computer explodes.
« on: July 18, 2009, 10:45:01 AM »
But you know it's a true red-letter day when it explodes not once, but TWICE.

My videocard failed without me knowing it while I was out of the house.  Coming home to an unresponsive computer, I flipped it on, and my PSU smoked and sputtered, and sparked the tiniest spark.  I assumed the PSU had just upped and died because it was old and shit.  So I dug through my "Pile o' computer parts and backup crap" and found my backup PSU.  I threw it in and powered up my computer...

But you know what they say about assuming...

This turned out to be a horrible mistake.  My computer instantly erupted into a beautiful and violent fireworks show of sparks and flame.  A friend who I was hanging out with at the time literally leaped back about four feet away from it as I frantically dove for the wall socket and ripped the plug out.  Somehow, all of my hard-drives survived the ordeal, although nothing else did.

All in all, it was totally awesome, but I wouldn't do it again because now I don't have a computer.

Edit: Wow, fuck.  This whole thing was a few days ago but just now my iPhone's screen died.  I am having some serious luck with electronics this week.  Fortunately my phone is under warranty, but christ, when it rains, it pours.  I wonder if I broke a mirror or forgot to throw a cat black cat over my shoulder after opening an umbrella under a ladder.

Edit2: Software reset fixed the phone.  Now if only I could software reset an exploded computer I'd be set.......

General Rotors / The Legendary Starfy
« on: June 19, 2009, 03:49:12 PM »

This topic is for discussing star-shaped princes and their legendary adventures.

So anyway my wife bought it for me and so far I am loving it.  The music is pleasant and not too grating and the graphics are vibrant and lively.  Somehow though, Starfy's ingame sprite is too.. pointy.  I wish it was a bit more rounded-looking.

So I got bored and made a song.  It is a trance track.  MAYBE SOME OF YOU WILL ENJOY IT IF THAT IS YOUR THING.  ps the name has virtually no meaning.

General Discussion / Using the internet may harm your computer.
« on: January 31, 2009, 09:55:37 AM »
So apparently, google's malware database went totally haywire.  Every single site from every search was tagged as malware for a while.

This definitely rates about a nine-point-oh on my weird shit-o-meter.

EDIT: alright citizens, return to your homes, crisis averted

Still, though.  I wanna know what happened.

So I got bored and sat around pondering life for a while.

Say technology reaches the point where a technological 'copy' of all of your biological and neurological functions can be created.  Your body and mind can be 100% duplicated in virtual form and the copy will function completely identically to the original.  There are, for all intents and purposes, two exact copies of you, and neither can tell the difference, nor can anyone on the outside, as both would have the exact same memories preceding the event in which your duplicate was created.

What becomes of the concept of 'self', and the classical notions of 'soul' and 'being'?  Should one of "you" be more deserving of the right to claim to "exist" than the other?  Other questions come to mind but I hope this is enough to spur discussion.

Knowing this forum though this will probably get torpedoed straight to the depths of pages unknown by new videogame releases and celebrity deaths but I digress.  I'm bored and there's nobody around to wax philosophy so I'm starting a serious business topic on an internet forum.

Gaming Online / Warhammer Online!
« on: October 02, 2008, 11:09:44 PM »
So warhammer online is pretty good it is a game what contains the good mans and the bad mans and the good mans are sometimes short with beard and bad mans often have a tentacle just in case.

Anybody playing?  The people I know what play the game have Order on Skull Throne and destruction on Azazel.

Gaming Online / Our own Gmod server!
« on: May 06, 2008, 09:00:25 PM »
Got sick of playing Gmod on public servers only to have it consistently ruined by people stacking explosive barrels ten miles high long ago, so I decided to finally shell out the cash for a Gmod server. Currently it is pretty bare-bones but hopefully we'll get it going full throttle eventually.

So the obvious next step is to get in there to test it out!

The server is "", private but unpassworded.

ha ha ha is funny you get it i am being facetious because this post is just like that one time.
