The trailer for World War Z disappointed me. They turned the zombies into zergs.

The book was interesting :(

I'm sure they were serious about DRM - even confident about it. It just blew up in their faces, especially when PS4 one-upped them.

@James - Positively, this was cleared up a week ago. I'm not going to beat a dead horse with a reply.

By same thing, I mean playing one game on two screens (menus, maps, touchscreen controls, whatever - anything that can reasonably and easily be on one monitor). Maybe that's why you're not understanding what I'm saying.

IMO there really is no point in looking at two screens that have the same thing on both of them.

...It's a good thing games don't do that, then?

Yeah...I have no idea what you mean. I'm talking about equipment (like playing a game on my TV while looking at the same exact thing on a smaller one built into my controller). And now, you're talking about games....This is honestly getting tiresome. I'm done.

Anyhow its cool if that's your thing, and its fine if there was a misunderstanding. It just gets really tiring when trying to have a conversation about something and the replies seem to turn into random snark here and there. Just saying.

Damn.  Now, that's impressive.  I've done South Jersey to Detroit in a day which is a good nine or ten hours, but that drive is triple the distance.  Lead foot much?

Yeah, he was exhausted for three days. It took about 29 hours or so of driving. We made one stop at a La Quinta in Chicago, to rest, since I took my dog Waldo with me and they accept pets. It was an adventure.

We didn't really get to take pictures since we didn't stop much (aside from food, gas, doggy stop etc.), but there's a really cute picture of Waldo sitting in the passenger seat while we were at a gas station on his phone. I'll try to upload it later when he gets in.

I took a picture of this, because I thought it was funny.

It's been so long since I've heard of anything related to KH. The thread title made me think of "Don't Starve".

I'm aware of that, but it still doesn't interest me and I personally prefer my maps etc in another menu/window on the same monitor - or to just watch/play games on a TV at separate times. The viewpoint thing isn't so bad (like the D&D example I made), but I think its unnecessary and its pretty much the entire controller. The selling point is obviously the gamepad. I'm not sure how much more I can simplify that.

On top of that, I'm just not a Nintendo fan.

Things are good. I moved to CO to be with my boyfriend. He pretty much drove us from NY to CO within a day and a half. It was a fun trip, but we'll be talking a plane back to NY when we visit x_x. Also, trying to save up money to go back to school and for marriage.

I'm sorry Shev I just really don't see how what you're saying it different from what I'm saying.

And I mean it's cool if you don't want to play games with two screens -- I actually do feel like the concept is pretty flawed (I can look at both screens at once on a DS easily, not so much on the Wii U), but that doesn't somehow make the controller not an 'actual' controller or whatever.

Its fine if people like it, but the gamepad is honestly derp to me. IMO there really is no point in looking at two screens that have the same thing on both of them. I don't find it to be innovative nor awesome enough to work up a hype/spend money on it. I'd rather play a Steam game or an older system. That's all I'm saying. And by "actual controller", I mean a "regular controller". Its not even a matter of whether or not I consider it a controller - either way, I don't care for it.

Well I mean by that logic [...] the PS1 was just trying to be the SNES.

That's not the same logic at all...Its literally like they took an SNES controller and said, "hey, here's your next-gen controller".

Not even close to what I'm saying.

Sometimes you gotta try new things, man.

Gotta give new things a chance.

Man.

Word, but playing a game on two screens just seems pointless to me. I'd prefer to either play a console or a handheld. I'd prefer an actual controller or something that actually goes on your hands etc. That's just me. Not that I'd never try out a Wii U, if it happened to be around. I just wouldn't want to buy one nor care to own one. Also, I'm not that big of a Nintendo fan.

Well I mean by that logic the Gameboy was trying to be the NES, and the PS1 was just trying to be the SNES.  With... with handles.

There's more to the experience than just the controls, even if those controls happen to include a touch screen.

That's not the same logic at all...Its literally like they took a DS and said, "hey, here's your next-gen controller". Anyhow, that's just me. The integrating of a "gamepad" into the experience just doesn't appeal to me.

The only thing that would make sense is if you were playing a game with friends (such as D&D) and one person was using the second screen as a dungeon master.

My goodness, that looks pretty.

I made cheesy tortellini today, in butter sauce. It was simple, but tasty. :bendy:

^And what's the Wii U - chopped liver? XP

*cough* <_< I can't tell if it wants to be a Dreamcast or a DS.

The Wii never really intrigued me. I'll give Nintendo credit though for not taking the derp path of its competitors.

It's trying to be a Wii U, dude.

Yep, same thing.

Duel-screens are a bit much.

I saw Iron Man 3, and I wish I had stopped at 1.

Planning on seeing Pacific Rim.

Yeah...I've lost active interest in the development of console gaming after the early DRM announcements/news by PS and Microsoft, not to mention all of the other pointless things that they want to add on to create $700 systems.  Its just not for enthusiasts anymore; particularly the ones that don't have the cash to flush down their toilets and don't mind having duplicates of their major home appliances (like their cable box...) attached to their video games. I'll be sticking to Steam.

The creeper cam is just creepy.

I actually prefer the first one, out of the two.

Second one reminds me of this.

Also, I like the word "dongle".
