I just add everybody I know or have ever known. And occasionally somebody sees me post something on someone else's wall and decides they like me and I'm flattered so I accept their request.

Oh yeah?

The last I heard (from you ["you" being Joshi]) on Twitter was that you rather enjoyed it because it felt like Mario RPG or something?

Anyway, it's bad because:

While we were originally all lead to believe that it was going to be more in the style of Paper Mario 64 and Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door, instead, well, isn't not.

Shitty level system kind of like Super Paper Mario (which was fun for a play through), but at least SPM had, ya know, a central hub with SOME exploration to it.

NO unique characters. Period. Miyamoto opened his damn mouth and told Intelligent Systems to only use existing Mario characters, so we don't have any cameos from other Paper Mario games and no new good ones. Just a shit load of toads.

No longer does it have that "Mario Story" feel like the series originally intended. You know, the whole reason it's called Paper Mario. Like a book. Or "Mario Story" in Japan.

The sticker system is a shitty idea period. Having a limited attack system in any game is usually (usually), awful. And in this case it is awful. SORRY MARIO YOU DON'T HAVE ANY STICKERS SO YOU CAN'T JUMP OR USE THAT HAMMER YOU CARRY AROUND. Sorry.

No partners. C'mon, we were lead to believe that we had a CHAIN CHOMP buddy way back when! And instead, nope.

Other things too. It's just a huge disappointment. Which is unfortunate because I absolutely love the Paper Mario series.

Yet, I am still baffled by how any WOMAN could have ever voted for Romney, and yet I saw so many. That'd be like the nation's men voting for a guy who promises to castrate all men at the age of 18  or something.

I would love to see people discuss politics without tossing in the word "fuck", as it always boils down to "WELL YOU'RE NOT IMMEDIATELY FUCKING BELIEVING WHAT I AM SAYING SO I AM FUCKING DONE WITH YOU", congrats, that means the entire conversation was pointless and neither of you made any headway whatsoever. As important as politics are, debating them in such a fashion means nothing and goes nowhere. You're both walls that have gained the ability to shout at one another like anything is going to happen.

Uncontrolled capitalism is bad. It practically leads to the same place as uncontrolled communism. Society has evolved to a point where the systems being used are so shallow and faulty that they accomplish nothing. People toss around the word "socialist" like how people used to toss around the word "witch", when a lot of the things we use every day are built off of socialist ide--fdklajfslajdf you know what, this is dumb, cause I don't want to write a huge wall of text to five people and then realize that it was just as pointless as all the other huge walls of text that I just called pointless.

Huh. That's new. Must be selling pretty fast (even though it came out last year). Well it does say "hot item", so I guess they mean it!

General Rotors / Re: How well would a mIRC Channel do now?
« on: November 09, 2012, 12:17:29 AM »
There are mIRC clients for both iOS and Android devices, so, either way. I know the one for Android is called AndChat, I don't remember the iPhone one though. But it exists.

General Rotors / How well would a mIRC Channel do now?
« on: November 08, 2012, 03:51:56 PM »
With all ... 4 people. Or maybe there is one, and I'm totally out of the loop, I don't know. Do people still use mIRC? Or is it all Skype now? I just kind of fake around on the internet on a phone, so, can't exactly say I'm totally up to date with what people use to communicate with anymore. (I still use AIM to talk to like two whole people, is that something that is done?)

ANYWAY, so yeah, I mean, I guess everybody is probably scattered in like dying things like #allthecoolkids or #germannamedwarthingthatMightFoxruns I don't even know.  But if not, maybe that would be a thing. A thing to try.

Probably a bad idea though.

Did your wishlist always only have one item on it or do people love you so much that one item is all that's left?

Which answer is most pathetic?

Are you sure you can live with no skateboarding in MGS2 and no monkeying around in MGS3?

The loss of both of these is saddening.

I thought "The Paperman" short before the movie was pretty great too.

Wow. That is kind of huge. I did not expect him to write such a tome.

That would be pretty awesome. If you need my address or something just send me a PM.

Also, I don't know how up to date that collision test engine is in your sig, but I got curious here at work. It seems to work pretty well but the two things bother me. One, if you fall through a platform, or simply walk off, you can't perform the air jump.  Just feels like if you can do a double jump, you should be able to jump at least once if you fall off a platform or drop through it. The second thing is holding up and jumping everytime you land. I dunno why, but I feel that it should only jump upon each press, not while continously holding down. Sorry if that is nitpicky, but it was there, so figured why not!

But when word got out that I drove 1,000 miles (you know to see friends, family, support my friend's business that I used to work at), they twisted the story and made it into "This man drove a THOUSAND MILES to play a VIDEO GAME". (So basically, I single-handedly put us all back twenty years in the stereotypical eyes of the media. You're welcome). It was funny, but annoying at the same time.

Insert "Lamestream Media Bias" joke.

Workin' a job I hate down here and trying to get my business thing going. It's been goin' pretty well thanks to donations from friends (including some of you guys). I started a tumblr as well to basically cover my progress of the ever so slowly growing business.

I wish you had brought this up sooner.  About three months ago, I decided to thin out my game collection and donated my SNES titles and system as well as some old Gameboy and GBA components in favor of emulated versions.  The SNES might not have been saleable as it was haphazardly modded to play Japanese Super Famicom titles (a copy of Rockman & Forte), but had I known, I would've kept them for a better cause.

i'm in college and currently living in japan for a year as an exchange student. it's pretty alright!! i've got one year of college left after this one, and then after that ~~who even knows~~

Ooh. Found a good maid cafe, yet?

Oh my, my greatest regret. Well if you come across other stuff I'll take whatever. Games, movies, strategy guides, cds.

Sofox: Is this gonna be strictly App Store, or do you plan on pushing it for Google Play as well? (I wish it was still called "Android Market")

Awesome thanks. Yeah, I haven't really gone out of my way to advertise it's existence yet. I want to try to keep it strictly about the business (or things related to the business) as opposed to a personal blog of sorts. I update it when new things happen, but even that can be tricky seeing I've been completely without a computer for like 8 months now (yet another thing on the long list of stuff I need to acquire). So I occasionally use my girlfriend's when I get a moment, or just do everything from my phone (which is terribly annoying, but still makes it possible so that isn't bad).

The media thing was only annoying because I really wanted to see the arcade get some good press, to help his business grow. As I said in my comment under that video, local news should be supporting local business, not trying to make an "interesting" story all the time. Usually the most interesting stories are, ya know, true ones.

Also, your game that you're making, is this going to be sold to schools or something or just kind of "because?"

Wow a topic with an actual flow to it. Been a while.

I'm currently living in Florida after moving down here with my girlfriend in June. Liked it at first, kind of hate it now, as we both went back and visited Ohio a few weeks ago and miss it dearly. I was on ABC news for Cincinnati like a week ago because my friend who owns an Arcade was contacted  by Pixar to host the Fix-It Felix Jr. Arcade machine from Wreck-it Ralph. We went there and he asked if I wanted to be the spokesman for the arcade to the news. I did so, and really hyped up the arcade.

ANNNND other than that, hoping my girlfriend can find a job soon (Florida sucks) so we can save money and eventually move back to Ohio (thinking maybe ... May 2013?) Dunno if we'll stay there, but for now it's where we both wanna be. Long-term I still think I wanna go out to San Diego, but I should probably take a vacation out that way first to see if I like it.

Oh and here is the news story for a good laugh. They cut everything I said out except for my description of the game:

how DARE you all speak against joe biden.

umm..the debates are coming up. two boring men are going to talk in boring voices about boring things. it would be more fun if this was Howard Dean VS. Herman Cain. Howard VS Herman! verses. whatever.

Read that as "two boning men are going to talk in boning voices about boning things." Would have been far more interesting.
