Andrusi, tell me about the formulation and history and details of that one hoax were Knuckles has Amy's dress and she's hiding behind a 10-ring monitor.
I
think it started with me editing out a sprite of just Amy's dress, for reasons now lost to history. I don't remember whether I had the idea and hunted down the Knuckles sprite for it, or if I happened to have the Knuckles sprite nearby (maybe I was planning to have him wearing the dress?) and just suddenly had a random thought, but I decided to put them together. At some point, two different things happened:
1) I decided to use this as part of the header for the Flying Battery Zone's short-lived hoax section. (Ah, the FBZ. Back when frames were still cool.)
2) I reasoned that Amy must be naked now, so I decided she must be hiding behind something. As it turned out, I had a shield monitor handy.
People seemed to like the joke, so I made a full hoax out of it. I was actually kind of lazy about it, just finding a location in Sonic 2 that already had a powerup and waiting for Sonic and Tails to enter appropriate-looking frames of their waiting animations.
