SER SFIV: Tournament Of Champions
« on: February 02, 2009, 01:37:37 PM »
So I got to thinking. Street Fighter IV comes out in about 2 weeks or so. And to my knowledge, I know quite a few of us will get it.

So I was thinking of putting together a tournament. If My team wins, we invade earthrealm. If your team does, you get a shitty sequel, and we replace the actress playing Sonja blade.

But in all seriousness. Anyone else up for a tourney?

This is when I ask the question, which version? and will the PS3 version I have to get, due to certain 360 mishaps be region locked to just the EU servers like quite a few PS3 games....

Deary me

Well, if people are interested, I'd be willing to organize something here. But so far only you have really said anything.

I wasn't really saying that to you, more so just to poke it back up to the top of the list in the chance anyone else will notice it >_>

the fact that people can own a different console version is certainly a concern, so what i recommend is wait a bit so that more people will have it (ps3, 360, pc, whatever) and then see how many takers we can get. also, i highly suggest putting this off until the championship edition DLC starts rolling around. although i sincerely doubt i'll be able to participate in this (internet here sucks like dong), i would at least be interested to see some of the matches recorded for later viewing. :`D

Titled Championship Mode, this expansion pack will add a variety of features to an already impressive list. With the release of this expansion, players will be able to record, upload and download top matches, vote for their favorites and leave feedback. Besides, you will also have a new points system to measure your skill and an improved matchmaking system. And the best part of all this it will not cost you a dime.

HAY GUYS.

Some of us just got the PC version (namely myself and Smindas).
Who else got it and is up for some brawling?

Edith: Jackel too, but since he's banned...

In that first screen, you were blatantly on easiest. Seth suffers too much from 'Capcom fighter boss' syndrome i.e. he's stupidly cheap. It's Goldibus from Tech Romancer all over again :(

Anyway, for anyone who wants a game, my Live tag thingy is Smindas so hit me up some point. It'll be nice to play someone who doesn't play as Akuma and then just spams those air hadoukens.

I got the MadCatz controller bundle off of Amazon. Should arrive on Monday in fact.

Though I dont think I'll be up for some tourney action...well, maybe I will, but I'm no Street Fighting master or anything...

So yeah, my Live Gamertag is bartman3010. If anyone has the PC version, I'm not up for any tourney business, but a VS match can be in order.

This MadCatz pad I got with the game ranges between pretty nice to pretty bad. That D-pad isnt as bad as the ones from NubyTech, but its still tough hitting those diagonals...

Still better than the 360's D-pad.

I'm sure it's better than a keyboard. I can barely do charge specials. Then again, I could barely do them with a pad.

little bonus for ssf2t fans.  The hd remix had a remade intro that didn't make it past the cutting room floor.  it's cool and all but wow that lick (it's in the original too ugh)...cammy is such a tramp fighter compared to the more regal chun-li.

Cammy is a goddess. Chump-Li is more like it.
