You mean there was another way? I was so scared someone would hack my site by posting in the middle...

The Moogle Cavern > Closed

It's with a heavy heart that I must close the site down. I can't thank you enough for the joy we've shared over these last 38 hours. Do you remember our board's first post, a confused Sam worried if it was ok to post or not? Good times. I'll never forget the friends I've met, like that purple guy, or the one that starts with J.

Where to go from here? GO TO SONIC VEGEMITE. Except the ones who don't like Sonic Vegemite, you go to Sonic Stadium or Retro or something. Seriously, whatever you do, don't start a spin-off based on a meme from the last day it was open. Boy that would be a bad idea.

It's been a real pleasure, but I'm afraid I must leave suddenly and dramatically. Also, Blaze, clear your crap out. Seriously man, do you really still need this up? What was it even for? Like I'm some goddamn file hostel, I swear...

I hope that with The Moogle Cavern 2.5, I've somehow made some small impact on the interwebs, because I kind of wanted to be eFamous.

And she was.

Kulock, we had some good times, and I truly respect you for keeping the site going as long as you have. Many cherished memories and few regrets.
Whatever your future endevours and projects, I wish you the best of luck with them and for things to go well for you personally.
It's sad that others may have missed your work during the all too brief time it was displayed for all to see, but rest assured the rest of us will not soon forget how you brought so much joy to our lives during all those countless hours you persevered on our behalf.

Thank you.

PS. You've inspired me to create my own website. Here's hoping it'll be at least a tenth as popular. Wish me luck!

Since it's April 3rd, I guess I should break character and say I'm glad you all got a kick out of this. I was sort of possessed by the idea once I had it, and once I found out you could custom-make anchor tags on SMF that didn't rely on the post number, that made things so much better.

I'll make the mirror I have on the MC MB (the real one at mooglecavern.com/mb) public after I've installed the [youtube] extension, so if someone didn't catch this, they can still take a look at it. I hate when sites remove their April Fools work on the 2nd, never to see it again after all.

And now back to writing for my secret real website. No one will ever find the Chocobo Cave...

It was an awesome idea Kulock. The idea was unique and it was executed brilliantly. Why did I laugh so much at the "I just don't know anymore"?

I'm almost afraid to even think about Moogle Cavern 3.0. It feels awesome, but years of experience as a Sonic fan has taught me that anticipating something you love with excitement is followed by bitter pain and regret. Ahh, Sega.
Part of me wonders if it's a joke, but I if I ask you that directly, you'll just respond with some subtle ambiguous answer.

Unsubtle, unambiguous answer: if I were to make a new website, I wouldn't call it The Moogle Cavern. I guess I can't guarantee two, three years down the road I might think it'd be clever to give the name to a blog or something, but for the foreseeable future, this joke is the last of it.

Although I do find it hilarious I keep my "dead" forum more current on SMF updates than this site.

I forget, why did the Cavern cave in again? Something about a Nacho Plate, The Evil Wizard Nasoj, An Old Vat Of Toothpaste, A Cow That Produced Apple Cider, and Evan's Glasses right?
- This is sure to end in hijinks!
