Well, he would have been 28 or 29 in 1999 then. Damn..that can't be right! He was an eloquent moogle back then though. It might explain some things.

or 26-27.  :moghead:

When Kulock turns 40, we all have to kill ourselves.

Yeah...  The moment that the cult injoke turns into Jonestown Kool-Aid Drinking is when I check out.

We will all partake in Kulock's poisonous cocktail, including the shiny and well adjusted ones.

Heh.  Well, of course, people can tweak their needs accordingly, Smindy.  If everyone had my take on vanity, the world would be a silly place.  Imagine a world where the dominant style is anime-tinged glam rock with a strong base of late-80s/early-90s David Bowie and an Oscar Wilde twist.  Too much fabulous bizarrity would become worthless and boring.
One day Mirai, one day you're going to have to post a photo of yourself. Because that look sounds spectacular.

I definitely could not bring myself to put so much personal and emotional faith in a hair stylist. I'll just stick to looking like a hairy mess for now.But hey, different folks, different strokes and all that jazz!

My sister is six years older than I am.  I mocked her when she was about to turn thirty, because she was so deathly afraid of that number.  I thought it was no big deal - outsider's perspective, obviously.  I figured you werent really "old" until you were at least forty.  In retaliation, she taunted, "you just wait - everything goes downhill after 25."  Well I was 24 at the time, and still feeling quite good, so I thought nothing of it.  But here we are, just a few years later, AND SHE WAS RIGHT, ARGH

There are actually one or two available from "Lemocon DC" or whatever that was called, but out of respect for Mr. No Bishonen, I won't post them.  Needless to say, though, his hair was quite amazing.  Also as such were his skills for gracefully turning about a light pole, a la "Singin' in the Rain".

I think I still have a few photos of Mirai saved somewhere, too, but like Eric the only versions I've ever posted have had his face edited out.

Yeah, something about being 26 sucks. It's like... damn it, I'm old now.

Then you hit 27.

Remember, the day after your 25th birthday, you're officially closer to 30 than 20.

I'm 30 now

Now your job is to get on a school bus to your nearest high school, and see how long you can get away with being a student. In the process, you will learn more about yourself. Unfortunately, you will mentally regress, and attend high school for four years. When you're 40, you'll do the same thing, but you won't get away with it that time.

Don't mention anything about comic books. Kids read virtual comic books now, which are in the form of 3D objects. They are barely distinguishable from normal comic books, but if you look very closely at them, you'll see the pixels. They're very life like. Call them "virtual comic books" or "vcb's" for short. Good luck!

being 27 is p. alright. Like, I've been where I'm at for about a year now but I actually feel like I have a bit of a meaning and direction in life. I'm still in the roughly entry-level IT field, but even that's better than the restaurant work I was doing. I was looking into buying a house back in my hometown for awhile there too, that really helped the "I'm really an adult now and have been for many years" feeling.

Getting a rental even helps with that. I remember the day I got my first apartment writing up a text file with the address called MY HOUSE.txt. It felt good writing that even if it wasn't strictly true.

29 in two months. It's weird, when I turned 25, I pretty much felt it was all over and I'm a pathetic loser for not accomplishing anything with my life. And yet, 28 turned out to be the year that I've probably lived the most. If anything, I feel like I just stepped out of childhood into adulthood and now is when my life begins.

Happy belated birthday Squish, I hope that - despite what the topic thread implies - it was a lovely day.

Also, judging by this thread, I'm still like the youngest here. Which is ridiculous, as that title was definitely usurped repeatedly before.

One day Mirai, one day you're going to have to post a photo of yourself. Because that look sounds spectacular.

You'll see me in good time, Smindy.  I show up occasionally--increasingly so these days now that I'm beyond that tête-à-tête chess game with whats-his-face with his potato chip fetish and tyrannical delusions of godly grandeur.

A bit more seriously, I might post something someday if I don't make it across the pond to meet for a drink before too long.  Though, outside of cosplay, I take very few photos.  Eric and Joshi have seen me cosplaying myself and my theatrics as tour guide for D.C. Lemocon along with a few other people.  One or two others have run into me without knowing it.  I still enjoy the anonymity running gag, but nowadays, it's more about enjoying live experiences since pictures only capture so much personality and are a nuisance to do well anyway.

Potentially down to my gradually burgeoning senility, I have no idea what you are referring to there. Care to elaborate?

Clearly, your face will forever be a mystery unless you make it to Blighty ;P
