So, as a backer for the Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter, I just got a free "Mighty Gunvolt" download code for 3DS.
Thing is, it only works on the North American eShop, making it useless to me and all of my other 3DS-owning friends around where I live.
So I'm giving it away, first come first serve. Give a shout when you've succesfully redeemed it!
I've also posted it on my facebook, but no one seems to have noticed yet (or if they have, they didn't let me know about it  ).

I suspect I'm not the only European M#9 backer, possibly not even on this forum -- so if anyone else is in an altruistic mood to get rid of their code for the benefit of their North American friends, they can use this topic for it as well. Or hey, if you're actually from North America, got your code but don't own a 3DS, I suppose this goes for you, too. ::v:

Quoth the backer e-mail:
Quote
If I live outside North America, is it possible to get a code for my region?
Sorry but we can only offer everyone North American 3DS eShop codes. We realize backers come from all over the world, and we very much value our fans from other countries, but unfortunately region-free codes were not an option, so we picked the region where the majority of our backers hailed from.

So yeah, even Japanese backers got shafted, it seems.

Ahwell, here's my code: A05K0Y4Q2E1HLUXR

I nabbed it. Played through the training stage as Beck and it seems pretty good. Thanks!

We live in the digital age! Why are people still getting screwed for living in different regions?

I got mine from Jenny last night. Played through the whole thing.

Cons: you can't switch characters once you select one for a file, and the game is REALLY FUCKING SHORT.

Pros: the game is VERY fun and easy to get into, the translation for the "story" is hilariously self-aware in its badness, each character has his/her own quirks to getting through areas that make a nice bit of variety, boss designs are amazing, and stage designs are pretty good.

Oh hey, I guess we could also use this topic to give out spare Smash Bros 3DS demo codes if you got 'em. =P
(I know I wouldn't mind one, haha  )

SO Here's the scoop on the Nintendo Smash Codes thing for those who were wondering:

You had to be Platinum last year. This much we know.
You had to register a 3DS Product sometime before a few days ago
YOU HAD TO HAVE NOTIFICATIONS TURNED ON

Meaning, for instance, in my case, I get e-mails from Nintendo, I guess, but not CLUB Nintendo, so, I wasn't able to get a code. Kind of dumb, especially since I don't even see a way on the website to opt-in  to that regardless.

But yeah, if you were curious as to why you might not have received your early code. One of those reasons (probably the third?) is why.

Which one? All 3 characters have a different order of stage selection.

Abuse his charge dash whenever you can. It will spare you collision damage unless you get hit with a fireball.
