So basically, Milo, another guy, and I have been working on Petrichor for years. It'll be featured in the upcoming SAGE (September 27th to October 4th).

It's unlikely you'll get around to playing them all (unless you're BlazeHedgehog), but it's definitely worth it to look through and download and play a few that pique your interest.
Also, streaming has a much bigger emphasis in recent years, basically there are slots that anyone can book, so you get a wide variety of streams being hosted on the SAGE channel that all cover the Sonic Fangames some way. We'll be booking a slot so you can hear us talk about our game as we play it, and probably play through a bunch of other SAGE games for fun.
